Our
services are in English and follow those of the Church of England. Occasional ecumenical services are bilingual.
Whilst we are part of the Anglican Communion, everyone is welcome to
worship with us.
We
worship weekly at Toulouse
in Haute Garonne, Cahors in the Lot, Brens in the Tarn, and Limoux in the Aude.
Although we have no buildings of our own, services are held in local
churches by kind agreement with the Roman Catholic Diocese.
Across the chaplaincy there are services of all kinds - from Holy
Communion and Service of the Word, to Morning Worship and Junior Worship;
from sung Morning and Evening Prayer to Songs of Praise - a variety which
we enjoy. (If all of that Anglican jargon is double-dutch to you, there's
a cribsheet at Service
Types!). Congregations are strong and continue to
grow.
There are also active church groups at Vayrac at the northern border of the
Lot between Bretenoux and Martel and at Caylus in the north-east corner of
Tarn-et-Garonne, an ecumenical group based in Valence
d’Agen in Tarn-et-Garonne, and a number of
flourishing Home Groups based on Cahors.
Do come along or give the relevant contact person a call.
In
the meantime, if you'd like to see more of what we look like at worship
or at play, have a look at the Church Life page. For past
sermons, and also some thoughts on the role of the Bible in the Anglican
Church, see the Thought
for the Week
page.
